Former Black Stars coach Fred Osam-Duodu has passed on at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Accra on Tuesday.
According to sources close to the highly respected technical brains, he died after a short illness.
Osam-Duodu won the Africa Cup of Nations with Ghana in 1978 and also coached in several African countries, winning the 2005 U-17 African title with Gambia.
He won the 1993 African U-20 Cup of Nations and a silver medal at the 1993 FIFA World Youth Championship.
He was also Ghana’s coach during the 2002 African Cup of Nations, held in Mali.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Association of Coaches will officially pay a visit to the family tomorrow and as well inform the Ghana FA ahead of the Black Stars game against Uganda. -
