According to reports, Captain Maxwell Mahama was seen jogging along the main road Tuesday morning with a pistol on him.
He stopped by to ask some women for directions who saw the pistol on him.
The deceased military man was in a civil wear.
The 'inquisitive' women called the attention of their Assemblymember who organized the youth of the town to lynch him.
His pleas were not heard .
He was stoned and burnt.
Meanwhile, the residents had upper hand over him since he was alone but did not hand him over to police since they had suspecyed him to be an armed robber but decided to take the law into their hands and lynch him.
Nhyira FM's Ohemeng Tawiah reported that almost all the town folks have flee the community as military men storm the vicinity.
