APESIKA WEE SAGA: 2 granted bail, others remanded


The Mpraeso Circuit Court has granted two out of the eleven suspects who were busted in a swoop by the Nkawkaw Divisional Police Command at Apesika with two hundred and four bags of wee bail and the remaining remanded.

The Nkawkaw Divisional Police Chief Superintendent James Sarfo Peperah says, the court granted Clemencia Amaliba, 21-year-old bail based on her physical disability and also carrying pregnancy.

The court also granted Clemencia's cousin Adwoa Amaliba, 20-year-old bail because of her a seven months old baby.

They were both granted on GH¢10,000 with one surety, Chief Superintendent James Sarfo Peperah told an Accra based radio, Accra FM.

The remaining suspects are still in the grips of police.

They were charged 12 counts of possessing narcotic products.

The Court according to Chief Superintendent James Sarfo Peperah did not take their plea.

The suspects are expected to appear in court on 2nd March this year.
