The host of Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem morning show,
Captain Smart broke down in tears and had to be helped out of his seat when it was confirmed that the MP for Abuakwa North, Joseph Boakye Danquah Adu had been stabbed to death at his East Legon residence on Tuesday dawn.
A distraught Smart could not continue hosting the
programme, and co-host Kofi Adoma had to take over and finish.
Captain Smart told Adomonline.com he could not imagine how someone could look another human being in the eye and stab him to death.
“I can’t continue the show. I just can’t. The mental image I have is too much. How can you look someone in the eye and stab him to death? I mean how? Please forgive me, but I can’t continue” he said with tears running down his face. It took a number of colleagues and managers including Adom Programmes Director Abdulai Awudu to console him.
The whole nation was thrown into a state of shock and mourning when news broke on Tuesday dawn that the Abuakwa North MP had been stabbed to death at his residence by unknown assailants.
Hon J. B. Danquah Adu, who would have turned 51 in July, left behind a wife and two children.
Adomonline.com has learnt that the Accra Regional Police Command has picked up three persons who were in the house at the time of the incident to assist in investigations.

the late JB Danquah Adu on Adom FM.
