Instant noodles and some perfumed rice contain wax and poses health danger to its consumers, a research has revealed.
According to
Researcher and Library Assistant at the University of Ghana Medical School,
Dominic Gyamfi, the wax makes the noodles and the perfumed rice crispy and
attractive but harmful to the body.
The wax when consumed curdles in the consumers intestines and also causes obesity, Gyamfi said.
According to Gyamfi, a research conducted by US Library of
Medicine reveals that wax is added to instant noodles, practically, the noodles
does no sink when placed in water.
But the Communications Director for the Food and Drugs Authority,
James Larbi says they are not aware about this revelation.
He assures
to take drastic measures on this situation if the FDA finds any truth in the
research.
