The
paramount chief of Edina Traditional Area, Nana Kojo Conduah has threatened to lets
gods of the land inflict any tourist who visit the Elmina Castle with strange
diseases.
According
to Nana Conduah, the traditional area does not benefit from monies earned from
the monument on their land.
Meanwhile
he feeds the gods of the land.
Nana
Conduah given government a three moth ultimatum to honour its obligation to the
people of Edina or he will tell the gods to afflict any tourist who visit any
of the forts and castles in his Traditional area with some strange diseases.
He
says the area has been denied their share of proceeds from the tourist site and
they want their share or visitor will catch strange diseases from a spell he
has cast.
He
