AUDIO: Mother allegedly burns son's eye over beans stew

A mother, Akua Brago has allegedly burnt her nine-year-old boy for not keeping an eagle eye on her beans stew which she has placed on fire.


The incident happened at Ahantamo suburb of Asunafo North District of the Brong Ahafo Region in Ghana.


Brago according to reports burnt her son’s eye with fire.


Reports say Brago had placed beans stew on fire and had asked Yaw to monitor it but the child couldn’t carry out the task and allowed it to burn.


Brago upon seeing the stew being burnt took fire and burn Yaw’s eyes.

Chief of Ahantamo, Nana Oduro has confirmed the incident saying he has drawn personnel of the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit(DOVVSU) attention to happening.

Nana Oduro claimed Brago has been maltreating her son.

Meanwhile, Brago is at large after she had burnt her son’s eye.
