A man nicknamed
‘Lord Kenya’ has been arrested for allegedly stealing fertilizers belonging to
the Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Asutifi north district
of the Brong Ahafo Region.
Yusif Yakubu who
witnessed the incident told Adom news the suspect was caught transporting
the fertilizers in his commercial vehicle from Kenyasi to Kumasi after
residents in the area broke the news.
According to Yusif,
residents in the area had followed the suspect keenly for some time now before
he was finally reported and later apprehended.
Lord Kenya, who
is said to be the head of the communication team for the National Democratic
Congress (NDC) and also the Chairman of disables in the community, is currently
in the custody of the Asutifi North Police.
Efforts by Adom
News to speak to the police about the incident have not been successful.
