EYESORE: The stress deprived area students go through in Ghana

It hurts when students all over Ghana sits for the same examination and answer same questions.

Why don't students in the urban area write more difficult and tricky questions whilst those in the rural area write simple questions?

I'm not saying there are no brilliant students in rural areas though but considering the stress these students in deprived communities go through.

These deprived area students most at times arrive in class very tired due to the distance they have boarded "red bus" from to school is more than someone's full day job task.

Very pathetic.

A boy I once met in Afram Plains walking over four miles from Forifori to Maame Krobor, a suburb or Kwahu Afram Plains South District all in the name of attending school.

Meanwhile the he is not attending any private school but this same 'sighto' thus Soda Domeabra D/A Primary School

He made me broke my rule- NO CRASH HELMET, NO RIDE~and carry him to school.
On the way, he told me he has to return to farm after school that is why his parents have not rented a place for him to live in Maame Krobor

This is very sad, he had no option than to endure.

But the question is "Why won't he drop out if he gets tired of this whole thing"?

Anyway.

The beneath picture was taken this morning showing four adolescent ladies sitting on a small motorcycle plus the rider making them five.

Three sits at the back of the rider whilst the remaining one sits on the fuel tank.

They wore no crash helmet.

This is because no car goes to their end due to the bad road nature.

The were coming from Kotokope to Tapa Abotoase in the Biakoye District of the Volta Region for school.

Only God knows what happens to them day in and out.

Lets also consider how much they spend alone on motor transport fares.

What happens to those that have no money to board motorcycle?

Meanwhile government of Ghana is trying its best to provide quality education for all.

I HOPE THIS VISION IS ACCOMPLISHED so our people can also enjoy some relief.

I am a similar victim though.

Anyway, government has a long way to go.
