PHOTOS:Some features on the 'AAYALOLO' buses that raises eyebrows

There are many public transport here in Ghana's capital city Accra.  The trotro(Mini Buses) and taxis owned and operated by privately by individuals and stay owned MMT buses which were recently introduced that raised severe controversies on its branding cost.

There one newly introduced called THE Bus Rapid Transit(BRT)  which has began its operations today.

I on my way from Pokuase to Accra boarded on, but the experience was woow.

Below are some features and qualities of the bus that you might not have any idea of.

The one I boarded had no DVLA registration number but it bears it is numbered 171.

Each passenger on the bus has a USB port where he or she can charge his or her phone, tablet while his/her USB cable is connected.

It's a fully air-conditioned.

Immediately the bus' does opens at a bus stop,  the right side of it goes down automatically to enable passenger who cannot climb higher objects get on board.

It also has a plate that opens for Pearson in wheel chairs some on board with anyone's assistance. This I thinks makes the bus accessible to by persons living with disabilities. The 10-year-old Disability law is at work now.

Furthermore, the bus has a place where persons living with physical disabilities can park whilst on the bus.

Also,  there are four reserved seats painted yellow for the aged, pregnant women, persons living with obesity, lactating mothers and the sick. Once any passenger with one of the above mentioned states enters the bus, any able person occupying that seat automatically stands up for him or her.

In addition, there is a place for hand luggages.

Moreover, there is a dustbin on board.

The spectacular and the much waited for is, the bus moves directly from its station and stops at its destination. It has its reserved road which is slow traffic free.

Its fare will be lesser than any other public transport/transit, the conductor on bus 171 this morning assured us.

Payment unto the bus will be made electronically with swiping cards. There will be no 'affairs' taking by conductors here,  I presume.

It will take approximately 5-10 minutes for passengers from Amasaman and its environs to arrive in Accra Central.

These are few things saw on the bus this morning when I joined the RBT.
