The Presbyterian Church of Ghana General Council has elected Rev. Prof. Cephas Narh Omenyo is the new moderator.
Reverend Professor Cephas had 209 Yes - 209 (96.76%) and No - 7 (3.2%) in a referendum held at Abetifi Ramseyer Center in the Eastern Region by the General Council.
Firstly, there were three candidates in the race but the Assembly decided on nomination and if anyone gets 70% plus, there will be no election.
In the nomination stage, Rev. Prof. Omen you secured 57%, Joy Mante had 29% and Rev. Hubert Oppong had 13%.
The two however, seeing that they did not do well withdrew their candidatures for Rev. Prof. Omenyo to contest alone and hence the second results
