A/R: Man shot dead at Kotwi

A 42 year old man, Anthony Drobo has been shot dead Wednesday June 21 dawn at his residence at Kotwi in the Ashanti Region, Isaac Alvin Anning, a news reporter with a Kumasi based local radio station has reported. 

The incident according to Isaac happened around 3 am. 

Wife of the deceased Hanna Amponsah says three armed young men attacked them. 

Hanna explained that the the three armed men broke into their house with pistol requesting for money him they had in the house. 

His husband coorporated with them and handed all the money that had as at the occurrence to the robbers. 

But the robbers after receiving the money shot his husband in his thighs and stabbed him with a knife and stick. 

Anthony is a 'Gaogao'  fuel seller father's three children who at the scene as at when the incident happened. 

Body of Anthony has be deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) Mortuary for autopsy to be carried on,  Isaac Alvin noted.  

Police has began investigations into the matter.
