CONFIRMED: Okala's funeral can't hold on May 7


A family member of demised Ghanaian Comedian Samuel Kwadwo Boaben a.k.a Bishop Bob Okala has confirmed that the funeral cannot hold on May 7th as it was earlier slated for.

Seth Kwaku Amponsah,  Chief Executive Officer of Easyway Music Production and a also a relative to the late Bob Okala explained in an interview with Adom FM's Entertainment Hall host Michael Boateng AKA Mike Two on Saturday April 16 that the cancellation came after the family realized there is a ban on noise making in Accra and it's environs as the Ga Traditional Rulers prepare to celebrate this year's Homowo Festival.


He noted that the funeral date has been rescheduled for June 10th this year.

Despite the sudden change in date of the funeral rite, the venue still remains Cultural Center here in Accra.

Bishop Bob Okala died in the early hours of Sunday, March 13, 2016, at the Koforidua Regional Hospital.

Bishop Bob Okala, before his death did a live performance at the Koforidua Jackson Park, which was organized by the management of Joy Industries Limited, producers of Joy Dadi Bitters.

Bob Okala collapsed immediately after performing on stage during an event organized by Joy Industries Limited and died shortly after being rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
