A mass burial service has Been held for six out of the nine people who lost their lives in a motor accident when the Tricycle (Aboboyaa) on which they traveling came into a head-on collision with a Tipper Truck with reg number AS 5126 -15 at Twabidi in the Ahafo Ano North District Of Ashanti.
The accident, which claimed the lives of nine, with only one survivor came as a shock to the nation as seven of the victims were from the same family (Nuclear Family) while the others two are also from another family but were all living in the same house at Tepa Akwasiase.
Emotions flared as all the six bodies - made up of the Mother and her five children, two males and three females - lay in state as natives file past their mortal remains.
Lying in state were Madam Comfort Duah, 48, Children- Esther Duah, 15, Osei Raphael, 13, Alex Bonsu, 12, Alex Ofori, 10, Anita Bonsu, 7 and Abibatu Mohammed, 4.
Relatives as well as church members wept uncontrollably as they filed past the remains of the deceased who died in that gory accident at Twabidi when they were Heading to the Brong Ahafo region to engage in farming activities.
Meanwhile, mortal remains of the head of the family (Father) Alex Osei Bonsu, 65, is still at the Mortuary as his (extended) family decide on when to bury him whiles the other two were buried last week.
Metrofm’s Munkaila Salifu, who was at the funeral service, told host of “AYEHU” Kobea Nana Yaw Asante that, family members of the deceased as well as natives and Passer-by’s could not help as tears drown down their eyes.
“Krobea, it was an eyesaw, a family of six buried on the same day and at the same time, hmm, I'm speechless” he moaned.
