Some traders were captured at sweeping back rubbish gushed out of the gutters by the rain water at Tip-Toe Lane back into it whilst raining in Accra.
It begun with thunderstorms and later started raining around 1:30 pm today at Tip-Toe Lane, Nkrumah Circle.
The traders first removed the wooden platforms used to cover the gutters to enable water overflows move smoothly and also to prevent them from being taken away by the massing water.
This rubbish could block the water ways somewhere else to result in flood.
As they were in the process of pushing the rubbish pushed out by the flowing water back into the gutters, a stranded Adom TV News Nana Sefa Hwenebobo captured the act.
Several hawkers, drivers among other professionals lost their lives in a flood that occurred at Nkrumah Circle on June 3rd last year.
This day still remains black in the minds of many Ghanaians.
This is why we keep asking that, "IS ACCRA REALLY READY FOR RAIN”?
