Youth belonging to party in power, National Democratic Congress
will on Monday, March 21 this year hit the streets of the area to demonstrate against
government over poor roads in Kwahu Afram Plains North and South.
Kwaku Asante, an NDC Serial Caller popularly known as One Man
Contractor tells Hwenebobo Newsstand that, “Though i am in the party’s favor,
it is not treating people of Kwahu Afram Plains well”, he scolded government.
The road from Ekye Amanfrom to Maame Krobo, one of the towns
in Afram Plains that has the biggest yam market is very bad.
However, Takorowatwene to Tease, the Kwahu Afram Plains
South district capital is no exception.
Meanwhile, Eastern Regional Minister Mavis Ama Frimpong in escorts
with Acting Kwahumanhene (Acting Paramount Chief) Akyemfuor Asiedu Agyemnag III
among other Kwahu government in last week cut sod for a university to be built
in Tease.
Kwahu Afram Plains is well known in Ghana to be the country’s
food basket which shelters several indigenes from various traditional lands that
have come to settle and farm since the area has fertile lands.
Moreover, the Tease – Donkorkrom, Antonaboma stretch of
roads are in bad shape.
Adom TV News Nana Sefa Hwenebobo reports that he sustained
head injury in a car he was travelling in to Donkorkrom for Kwahu Traditional
Rulers grand durbar when the vehicle bumped into a ‘manhole’ (a graduated
pothole he meant).
One Man Supporter says he cannot go back and preach evil
about a party which he has for the past five years been preaching well about on
radio.
He claims his government; NDC government is not treating
them well.
