The date for the final funeral rites
of slain New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Abuakwa North,
Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu has been announced.
A poster bearing his image sighted
by Adomonline.com indicates that a funeral in his honour would be organized at
the forecourt of the State House on Friday, 15th April, 2016.
The funeral is expected to be
attended by several dignitaries from all the three arms of Government.
The leadership of his party, the NPP
and all other political parties in the country are expected to also attend the
event.
He would be laid to rest the
following day, 16th April, 2016 in his hometown of Akyem Old Tafo.
A memorial service in his honour
would be held at Akyem Tafo the following day, 17th April, 2016.
The late J.B Danquah-Adu was stabbed
to death in his Shiashie Home in Accra on February 9, 2016.
One person, Daniel Asiedu has been
arrested and charged with the murder of the former MP.
