Municipal Chairman of the Northern Sector Spiritualist and Herbalist Association in the Brong Ahafo, Mallam Legbarh has attributed the gory accident which took about sixty three lives to the waterfalls in Kintampo.
He said the accident, one of the deadliest in the country this year, occurred because the gods in the Kintampo waterfalls which is located at Kyeremankoma in Kintampo South were angry.
Mallam Legbarh told Adom News that rituals for the pacification of the gods have not been done for some time now, hence their anger.
He noted that tourists from different places who visit the falls engage in immoral acts which the spirits in the waterfall are against.
This he said, contributed immensely to the fatal accident on the Kintampo road.
Mallam Legbarh therefore called on the Chief of Kintampo to immediately perform some rituals to appease the gods of the waterfall to prevent more deaths in the area.
Meanwhile the Chief of Kyeremankoma, Nana Effah Buaguro IV debunked the claims leveled by the spiritualist.
He maintained that the Kintampo accident cannot be associated with the waterfall in his area.
