A 17-year-old boy is in the grips of
the Obuasi Central police in the Ashanti region for stealing panties and boxers
shorts.
The suspect, Kofi Asare is said to
be a serial panties thief and has been a thorn in the flesh of women at
Kwabenakwa in the Obuasi Municipality.
This time, according to Adom News’
Kwaku Amegah, the 17-year-old went on the robbery operation with some friends
who stole boxer shorts on dry lines in homes.
He indicated that the suspect and
his friends wash the stolen panties and boxer shorts and sell it on the market
to make ends meet.
Kwaku Amegah added that Kofi Asare
was arrested upon a tipoff but his accomplices managed to escape.
The police has mounted a man hunt
for his friends who are currently on the run.
