Brussels threat level 'reduced'

 

The Belgian authorities have reduced the threat level in Brussels from its highest level of four to three, local media report.

The Belgian capital has spent nearly a week on maximum alert after suspects in the Islamic State attacks in Paris were linked to the city.

The reduction to level three brings Brussels into line with the rest of the country.

At least one suspected Paris gunman - Salah Abdeslam - remains at large.
