Journalist paid to keep silence over collapsed country - Nana Konadu



The Former First Lady and the founder of National Democratic Party (NDP) Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings says Ghanaian journalist have been paid to keep silence while the country collapsed.

Speaking at a graduation ceremony of Nhyira Prophetic Training Institute at Quickening Word Baptist Church International auditorium, the Former First Lady said to see Ghana collapsing under the glare of the media but because they have been paid, no one is talking about it and Ghanaians are at the receiving end is bad.

“We should all be worries about what our country is going; today” she stressed on.


Nana Konadu revealed that “there is a gipping hole, the country is collapsing, we don’t hear anything from our journalists, they are happy because they are being paid monies, they keep quiet and expect someone to talk, we cannot leave this country to continue to be like that; we cannot”.

But Nana Konadu express worry over it saying “when i hear that investigating films and looking at it, they are not doing it because they are being paid happily” she stressed.

“And I am not very happy about it at all”.

Moreover, “…it takes the leadership of our priests, of our bishops, of our pastors and indeed the new pastors to give us the examples so we can emulate” Nana Konadu added.

Meanwhile, the Founder of the NDP said there is no truth in the country because the leadership has failed to tell the truth so that the younger generation will follow.

Sixteen new pastors were graduated into the theological world.
Flt. Lt. Ex-President Jerry John Rawlings was expected address the occasion as the guest speaker but he delegated her wife, Nana Kunadu Agyemang Rawlings to replace him.

At the graduation ceremony, Founder of Quickening Word Baptist Church International, Rev. Prophetess Mrs. Nhyira Wallace urged the newly graduated ministers to go and preach the word of God to his children. 


Host of Adom FM’s ‘Nasem University’ Rev. Gabriel Ansah in his sermon called on them not to be lovers of money and go for any lesser spirits to operate as some pastors are doing.
