Short Sighted Kids to Get Medicated Glasses on Monday



Janet Nkansah and Brother Isaiah Danquah are expected to receive their medicated glasses which will enable them read from the blackboard on Monday, July 7, 2015.

The two are primary pupils of Soda Domeabra DA Primary School in Maame Krobo, suburb of the Afram Plains District in the Eastern Region have spent their entire lives lying prostrate in front of blackboards on a daily basis before writing down class assignments into their exercise books.

The two, Nkansah and Danquah of class four and class one respectively since infancy have suffered from short sightedness or myopia which has affected their lives.

Ironically, the two are siblings whose parents due to abject poverty lack the financial withal to correct their predicament thus forcing the kids to make through life with the disability.

Their mother told Adom News’ Roving Reporter Samuel Sefa who visited the location that she has done all within her means to get medical help for her kids but her efforts have not helped much.

Upon Adom TV News’ intervention, their plights were known to the world and through that, there have been contributions from sympathizers and philanthropists to support their medical screening.

The Kids have been taken through all the necessary medical processes. Ophthalmologists have prescribed they get a medicated glasses which are now available.

Besides, their mother will get some financial support to get a small business doing which will therefore enable her provide for the kids schooling and other daily necessities.
