Ghana marks 3rd anniversary of Mills' death

Ghanaians are trooping to the Asomdwee Park, close to the Independence Square to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of the death of former President, John Evans Atta Mills.

Today is exactly three years since the passing of Professor John Evans Mills at the 37 military Hospital at age 68.

His demise shocked many, since that was the first time a sitting President had died.

Cross sections of Ghanaians are showing their love to the former president by laying wreath at the memorial site, which was named after the peaceful nature of the former president.

State officials and family members of the late Atta Mills have charged Ghanaians to continue to extol the qualities of the former president.

Minister for Communications Edward Omane Boamah said the ruling NDC will continue to learn from his outstanding examples.
