Blakk Rasta who lasted a maximum of five minutes before the committee, was invited to answer questions over alleged comments that 80 percent of the law makers in the country smoke marijuana hence it must be legalised.
Many had expected that Blakk
Rasta would have been charged for contempt of Parliament but his lawyer
Thaddeus Sory argued that Blakk Rasta was misquoted in the story published in
the Daily Searchlight Newspaper.
He was discharged after the
committee failed to provide evidence to suggest that the comments were actually
made by Blakk Rasta.

According to him, he believed in the credibility of the website and did not deem it necessary to cross check if the quotes attributed to Blakk Rasta were actually made.
