An Accra Magistrate Court will today, Tuesday June 23, begin
committal Proceedings for the two suspects accused of killing the late Upper
East regional Chairman of the NPP.
Greggory Afoko and Musa Issa have been charged with conspiracy to commit murder and Murder.
At the last court hearing, State Prosecutors told the court that they have forwarded a copy of their docket to the Attorney General's Department for advice. The last suspect Asabke Alangdi is still at large.
Meanwhile, a private legal practitioner Samuel Atta Akyea has rejected suggestions that the suspects are being tried in the wrong court.
Lawyer and
journalist Yaw Boadu Ayeboafoh has said the suspects could be discharged on
technical grounds because of the use of a wrong court.
