'Powerful' Antoa gods stolen?

The 'strong room' of the powerful god, Antoa Nyama, in the Kwabre East District of the Ashanti Region has been raided by thieves who stole gold ornaments and other valuables worth thousands of cedis. It is not quite clear when exactly the thievery occurred, though it came to light yesterday. Six people in charge of the strong room were subsequently arrested by the police in connection with the theft. The incident has sent chills down the spines of inhabitants, who are wondering whether the name 'Antoa Nyama' did not invoke any fear in the thug thugs. Feverish preparations are underway for the final funeral rites of the late Okuapehene, Oseadeayo Nana Addo Dankwa II, who was called to eternity last year. The funeral is scheduled from today, February 1 to Monday, February 8, 2016 and is jointly being organised by the Akuapem North Municipal Assembly and the Akuapem South District Assembly in collaboration with the Akuapem Traditional Council. VIDEO: Instant noodles and perfumed rice poisonous to human health - research

Instant noodles and some perfumed rice contain wax and poses health danger to its consumers, a research has revealed. According to Researcher and Library Assistant at the University of Ghana Medical School, Dominic Gyamfi, the wax makes the noodles and the perfumed rice crispy and attractive but harmful to the body. The wax when consumed curdles in the consumers intestines and also causes obesity , Gyamfi said. According to Gyamfi, a research conducted by US Library of Medicine reveals that wax is added to instant noodles, practically, the noodles does no sink when placed in water. But the Communications Director for the Food and Drugs Authority, James Larbi says they are not aware about this revelation.
