(PHOTOS) Presidential Staff bus involved in accident, 15 injured

15 staff at the presidency have been involved in an accident on the Ako Adjei Interchange in Accra. According to reports, a cargo truck heading from the Canadian Embassy side of the road ran into the bus after its brakes failed. An eyewitness, Edward Harry Armah in an interview with Joy News said the cargo truck driver was attempting to maneuver a turn onto the Osu stretch of interchange but lost control. He noted that the driver of the bus lost control but managed to prevent the bus from toppling over. Meanwhile, Commander of the Cantonment Motor Transport and Traffic Directorate (MTTD), ASP John Airriah who confirmed the incident said the truck driver sustained minor injuries on the cheek. He said both drivers have secured a police report to seek medical attention at the Police Hospital. Also, the 15 presidential staffers who sustained minor injuries are receiving treatment at the Police Hospital.

The Marine Police Unit and other security officials from Western Region has arrested Nine (9) illegal Galamsey operators for using a heavy duty dredging machine for alluvial mining on the Ankobra River. Fake DJ Awaana arrested

Fake DJ Awana crying A young man who has been posing as DJ Awana of Hitz FM and defrauding people has been arrested by the Dansoman police. The imposter wrote DJ Awana's official name, George Tetteh, on the back of the Hitz FM branded T-shirt he was wearing at the time of his arrest. He made representations to teachers of the Avemaria School Complex in Dansoman that he worked with the station. fake DJ Awana with real DJ Awana's name written on his T-Shirt His modus operandi is that he takes advantage of the school’s double entrance to defraud taxi drivers whose services he engages. Every time he needs the services of a taxi driver, he would just engage one and when he is done, he would ask to wait for him at the entrance of the school. Whilst the driver is waiting, he pass the other gate at the opposite side and exit the premises leaving his victims empty-handed.
